Grab a tape and check the narrowest point on the path, usually a hallway turn or a basement door. Compare it against the spec sheet width of the appliance. Two minutes of measuring beats an hour of problem-solving on delivery day.
If the old fridge is moving to the garage, unplug it a day ahead and leave the doors open with a towel in the bottom. A defrosted fridge is lighter, drier and doesn’t drip across your floors on the way out.
